API & Banner Options Alpha

Your presence is only available while you are a member of our Discord server.

The API is in alpha.

The response structure might change in the future, including fields being renamed or removed, without a new API version. Don't rely on it for anything critical yet, and check this page for changes.

Get a user's presence Alpha

GET https://discord.c99.nl/api/v1/users/000000000000000000

Returns the user's current Discord presence as JSON. CORS is enabled for every origin and requests are limited to 60 per minute per IP.

Field	Description
id	Discord user ID, as a string
display_name	The custom banner name if set, otherwise the username
clan	`{ tag, guild_id, badge_url }` for the user's server tag, or `null`
status	`online`, `idle`, `dnd` or `offline`
platform	`desktop`, `mobile`, `web` or `null`
activity	The current activity, or `null`
activity.type	`playing`, `streaming`, `listening`, `watching` or `custom` (custom status)
activity.started_at / ends_at	ISO 8601 timestamps, when known. For Spotify they give the track's progress.
updated_at	When the presence was last updated
links	The user's profile page and banner image

Users we don't track return a 404:

Banner query parameters

Add these to a banner URL to customise it, e.g. https://discord.c99.nl/widget/theme-1/000000000000000000.png?radius=10&hideLogo.

bg=1e1f22	Background colour as a 3, 6 or 8 digit hex value
radius=10	Rounded corners, 0 to 30
hideStatus	Hide the status line
hideActivity	Hide the activity line and icons
hideLogo	Hide the Discord logo
